About Us

Non Profit

The Bowness 238 Legion was Chartered on December 31, 1947. This year we will be celebrating 77 years serving veterans and our community.

Non Members

Non members can be signed in with a Member in good standing or drop in when we’re Open to the Public. We are open to the public every Friday, Saturday and every day of Stampede, so you can come see just how great our legion is!

Facilities

We have a great Canteen and Snack Shack on the main floor, which houses many dart boards,  3 shuffleboards and 2 regulation pool tables. Our upstairs facilities are available for rent. There is a Main Hall and a Full Kitchen (additional charge) for Weddings, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Xmas Parties, Showers, Funerals, Celebrations of Life, Pop Up Markets, Craft Fairs, etc. Call our mainline at 403-247-1234 for tours and bookings!

Volunteers Outlet

Our Legion is a Great Place for newcomers to Bowness and surrounding communities to meet your neighbors and become part of a great group!  We are always looking for new ways to support our Vets and our Community, so bring your ideas and your passion for Volunteering, and we’ll help you quench that need!

We can provide our Color Party for events, Financial Aid for Veterans, and other supports as-needed.
